Sermon Notes (begins Feb. 3 - 12 sessions)
Host: Nancy McKenzie Location: Hilltop-Fireside Room
Day/Time: Sunday mornings 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
This group will focus on the Sunday message, giving you an opportunity to delve deeper into the scripture text and explore how the lesson applies to your life. Have you ever wanted to stop a preacher in the middle of a sermon to ask a question? In this small group you can ask these questions and hear answers from others. This is not designed to be a review of the sermon, but rather a way to incorporate the weekly sermon into your everyday life.
The Epic of Eden: Ruth (begins Feb. 4th - 6 sessions)
Host: Pastor Kelly Location: 104 S Manitou Dr.
Day/Time: Monday evenings 6:30-8:00 pm
In The Epic of Eden: Ruth, biblical scholar Dr. Sandra Richter brings the characters of the book of Ruth to life. In her words, “Ruth is simply a great story. Life and loss, love and loyalty, intrigue, racism, and ridicule all find a place in this narrative. If you finish this story without a passion for the redemption of this extended family, I will not have done my job!” This study “was not written for the standard churchgoer but for that person who has always wanted to do a Bible study but didn’t know where to start.”
Financial Peace (begins Feb 5th - 10 sessions)
Host: Mark Wright/Marcia Wahoske
Location: Hilltop-West Classroom
Day/Time: Tuesday evenings 6:30 pm - 8:15 pm
Material: Dave Ramsey’s Complete Guide to Money Kit
Cost: $109.00 per family unit*
We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan!
